Davidson, N.C. - North Greenville's women's team turned in a strong and well-rounded performance at the Davidson Relays, highlighted by multiple podium finishes and several top-eight efforts across both track and field events.
Bre'Asia Robinson led the charge on the track with a standout performance in the 200 meters, earning a third-place finish after crossing the line in 24.90 seconds. Teammate Kathleen Dombroski added a pair of top-eight finishes, placing fifth in the 400 meters with a time of 57.77 seconds and eighth in the 200 meters at 25.24 seconds.
In the hurdles, Ariana Lemieux posted a solid showing in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing sixth with a time of 1:04.00. North Greenville also saw a strong distance performance from Riley Shope, who earned a runner-up finish in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:24. Cecily Anderton added to the distance effort with a sixth-place finish in the 3000 meters (10:29), while Emery Lindsey placed seventh in the 800 meters with a time of 2:20.
The women's 4x400 meter relay team capped off the track events with a seventh-place finish, posting a time of 4:07.
In the field events, the Trailblazers dominated the javelin with three athletes finishing in the top five. Elise Smith led the group with a third-place throw of 36.86 meters, followed closely by Neveah Pereira in fourth at 36.35 meters and Lauren Baker in fifth with a mark of 36.03 meters.
