North Greenville Begins Season Nationally-Ranked, Places 1st in Conference Carolinas Preseason Poll

The North Greenville Trailblazers will go into the 2026 season with higher-than-ever expectations as they were picked to repeat as Conference Carolinas Champions in the 2026 Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Preseason Poll. NGU placed 1st in the poll with four 1st place votes and a total of 59 points, one more than second place.

In addition, the Trailblazers begin the season nationally-ranked in both National polls, placing 17th in the USILA 2026 Men's Coaches Division II Poll and 18th in the USA Lacrosse Division II Men's Top 20 Poll. NGU is one of just two Conference Carolinas institutions to appear in either poll and is the only one to appear in both polls.

NGU comes off of a historic 2025 season that resulted in a 12-6 overall record with a perfect 7-0 record in conference play. The program led the conference in goals scored, ground balls, shots per game, and shots on goal per game, and went on to achieve its first ever Conference Carolinas Tournament Championship and appeared in the NCAA Division II Men's Lacrosse Championship for the first time ever.

The 2026 season gets underway on Tuesday, February 3rd against the Bulldogs of Wingate University in Wingate, North Carolina with a scheduled start time of 3:00 PM.
