Gaffney, S.C. - North Greenville's 2025 season came to a close on Wednesday after a 28 - 10 loss to #2 Limestone in the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament.
It took seven minutes before an offensive breakthrough when the Saints scored the first goal of the game with eight minutes left in the first period. The goal led to eight - unanswered scores for the saints.
Jared Steinman scored North Greenville's first ever post season goal with nine - minutes left in the second quarter.
Caden Castle added a second score for the Trailblazers but Limestone boasted a 14 - 2 lead at intermission with 10 - second quarter goals.
North Greenville tried to mount a comeback in the third quarter with six goals led by Castle and
Nick Meier who both scored two. Haydan Moffatt and
Aydan Sizemore also scored for NGU. The second ranked Limestone Saints proved their rank in the end, tacking on five more goals in the third and another nine in the fourth quarter, ending North Greenville's historic season.
Caden Castle led NGU with three goals while Sizemore and Meier both had two goals each. Meier also led North Greenville with three assists.
Devin Goelz led the Trailblazers with nine groundballs.
