Myrtle Beach, SC- This past weekend, the Trailblazers went to the beach to compete against the best in the Carolinas at the Conference Carolinas Outdoor Track and Field Championship. The Trailblazer men finished 7
th and came away with multiple personal bests and All-Conference performances.
Finishing off his dominant campaign, sophomore
Taylor Campbell set a school record and a personal best in the hammer throw, throwing 54.66 meters. Coming back in the shot put, Campbell threw 14.39 meters, another personal best. Junior
AJ Nash threw 13.31 meters, also a personal best for him. In the Javelin, senior
Josh White closed out his senior season, throwing a personal best of 49.46 meters. In the triple jump, sophomore
Justin Pauling jumped a personal best of 13.25 meters. In the 10,000-meter run, senior
Matthew Heath ended his collegiate career running a personal best of 33:22.
Overall, the men's team had six All-Conference performances. Campbell finished second in the hammer throw and fourth in the shot put. White had a fifth-place finish in the javelin. Heath had a sixth-place finish in the 10,000-meter run. Fellow seniors
Mason White and Jaxon Beebe closed their collegiate running chapters by finishing sixth in the 800-meter run and fifth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, respectively. Junior
Bryce Hamby finished fourth in the pole vault.
With multiple personal bests and All-Conference performances, the Trailblazers wrapped up their season on a high note!
