From Coach Stober
"We had some good performances today. As always, there are areas that we did well in and areas that we could've done better in. Today was special in the fact that we got to watch multiple Olympians and World Championship athletes compete…some of which were in the same races as some of our athletes. Riley Nicholson had an awesome showing today. She ran a huge PB in the 800, which ended up being almost a five second school record.

Thats a big margin for a race like the 800. She also ran an impressive opening leg for one of our 4x4 relay teams. Avery Shope also had an impressive showing in the 800. She was within a second of her PB, and also ran under the previous school record. Riley Shope won the 3K Steeplechase while Emma Bright and Zoie Justice both ran PBs in the same race. Kacey Miller ran a massive PB in the 5K, cutting almost a full minute off her previous lifetime best.

Paris Alsup finished the 1500 with a PB, and Emma Dennison set a PB in the 400 hurdles. On the field side of things, Madeline Holsenback set a PB in the hammer throw. On the men's side, Miles Stephens had another impressive day. He ran a PB in the 100 with a time of 10.40 seconds, and was just a few hundredths of a second off his PB in the 200. His 100 time is currently top 10 in NCAA DII. He was in the same race as multiple time World Champion, Matthew Boling, on three different occasions today. That was fun to watch.

Thomas Schilling ran a big PB in the 1500, shaving 6 seconds off his previous best. Ben Jaminet finished first in the 800, while Mason White finished with a lifetime PB in the same event. In the hurdle races, Jaxon Beebe had an impressive 3K steeplechase opener, while David Kushnir matched his PB. Tyshone Phelps ran a PB in the 400 hurdles. For the field events, Josh White set a new PB in the javelin and Taylor Campbell set a PB in the shot put. We've got a short turnaround as we will be competing again next weekend. But I think we've got some good momentum going into our last regular season meet."
