  • Daughter of Jeff and Amanda Knier. She has one sister. Taya is majoring in psychology. In high school, Taya ran track and played volleyball, basketball, badminton, and lacrosse. She played club volleyball in Canada with the Durham Rebels Volleyball Club. Taya, in her first year of college volleyball, was named Trent University Women’s Volleyball Rookie of the Year(2021) and OUA All-Rookie Team(2021). Taya finished her freshman year with 1.26 blocks per set, placing #1 in blocks per set in the Canadian Universities. Taya Knier is a huge asset to our team as she enriches our team culture by providing diversity with her Canadian background. As a middle, Taya puts up a solid block with her impressive vertical that helps our defense read the hitter. Taya works hard and is always looking for ways to improve her game.
