Box Score North Greenville was able to come from behind and hang on for a 3-2 victory in a thriller in Wilson, North Carolina. The Trailblazers responded twice after Barton led by a set. Barton took set one with a score of 29-27 as well as set three with a score of 25-21 while the Trailblazers responded with 25-20 set two and 25-23 set four wins. NGU took control of set five early on, leading 5-1. Barton responded with a run of their own to tie the match at 6-6. The remainder of the set would go back and forth, but NGU was ultimately able to score twice in a row to leave with a 16-14 set win. North Greenville finished the match with a .219 hit percentage NGU led in blocks 7-6 while trailing in kills, blacks, assists, and digs.
Logan Keothavy led NGU with 21 kills and 18 blocks for a double-double.
Thomas Roper also finished with a double-double, recording 18 kills and 12 digs in addition to an assist, a block assist, and a service ace.
Andrew Copp provided 57 assists, 13 digs, and 2 block assists.
North Greenville will return to action tomorrow against the Trojans of the University of Mount Olive in Mount Olive, North Carolina.
