Tigerville – Second half scoring troubles haunted North Greenville once again on Saturday afternoon as NGU fell to Chowan College 70 – 58 in league play.
The Trailblazers led after one half shooting 53 – percent from the field in the process. North Greenville knocked down 15 of its 28 first half shots and was 4 of 9 from three point range. NGU held the Hawks to just 30 – percent from the field during the half and just 2 of 10 from three point range.
The offensive fortunes for each team flipped significantly in the second period as NGU struggled from the field while the Hawks seemed to have found rhythm. The Trailblazers were just 10 of 29 in the second half (34 – percent) while Chowan shot 52 – percent and was 13 of 25 from the field.
Savion Brown led North Greenville on Saturday with 22 – points on 9 of 19 shooting.
Jacob Brown had 11 – points and led NGU with nine rebounds.
