Winston-Salem, NC- This past Sunday and Monday, the North Greenville Trailblazers took a trip up to JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina where they wrapped up their indoor track season at the Conference Carolinas Indoor Track and Field Championships. As a team, the men finished eighth with five All-Conference honors.
Starting with the Sunday events,
Dominique Cox,
Mason White, Benjamin Jaminet, and
Thomas Schilling came in fifth in the distance medley relay, earning the first All-Conference honors for
the Trailblazers.
For the field events,
Justin Pauling jumped a personal best with a distance of 6.45 meters. In the weight throw,
Taylor Campbell finished eighth, earning All-Conference honors, breaking his own school record, and throwing a personal best of 15.56 meters.
Bailey Crowe threw a personal best of 12.96 meters. In the pole vault,
Grayson Fulmer finished fourth at a height of 3.88 meters, earning All-Conference honors.
For the Monday events,
Thomas Schilling picked up the first All-Conference honors of the day, finishing fifth in the mile run with a time of 4:26.
Dominique Cox ran a personal best with a time of 4:35.
In the men's 800-meter run, in a wire-to-wire race,
Ben Jaminet finished third, earning All-Conference honors with a time of 1:57.
The Trailblazers will take a brief break from competition before the outdoor track and field season begins. Next, they will travel down to Columbia International University in Columbia, South Carolina for the John Hunter Classic on March 7
th and 8
th.
