Tigerville, SC - After falling behind by two sets, the North Greenville Trailblazers came back to reverse sweep the Hawks of Shorter University with a final score of 3-2 at Hayes Gymnasium. The win puts NGU just one win short of returning to a .500 record overall. NGU was able to get off to a strong start to the evening, starting things off with a 10-4 run. However, Shorter would go on to dominate the remainder of the set, ultimately winning it 25-19. The Hawks took control early on in set two. Although the Trailblazers put together a 10-2 run, Shorter would end the set with a run of their own, taking the set 25-23. NGU would control set three from the start, leading by as much as ten. A run by the Hawks near the end would make the score respectable, but North Greenville would comfortably take the set with a score of 25-19. Set four saw several momentum swings by each team. Things would come down to the wire, but the Trailblazers would score the final three points to win the set with a score of 25-23. The momentum would continue for North Greenville in set five. A 4-1 run to end the night would give North Greenville the victory with a 15-7 set win.
