The North Greenville Trailblazers have advanced to the Conference Carolinas Championship match after defeating the top-seeded Francis Marion Patriots in five sets. Four of the five sets were decided by just two points, with Francis Marion taking sets one and three while NGU responded each time by winning sets two and four. In set five, Francis Marion scored the opening point as well as four of the first six points. However, the Trailblazers took over the momentum from there, going on to win the set 15-11. North Greenville finished the match with a .156 field goal percentage.and dominated in total blocks 15-6 and doubled FMU in service aces 6-3.
Samantha Ball posted yet another double-double, finishing with 19 kills and 27 digs as well as 3 block assists and a service ace.
Elise Smith recorded 12 kills, 5 digs, and 4 block assists.
Peyton Taylor also finished with a double-double, 10 kills and 19 assists while also providing 4 block assists and a service ace. Alison Ball recorded a double-double with 30 assists and 12 digs.
North Greenville will play for a Conference Carolinas title tomorrow at 3:00 PM in Bristol, Tennessee.
