The North Greenville Trailblazers advanced to the semifinals in the Conference Carolinas Tournament with a thrilling 3-2 victory over the Warriors of Southern Wesleyan University in Bristol, Tennessee. Prior to the final set, the two teams alternated sets with Southern Wesleyan taking set one 25-21 and set two 25-22 while NGU comfortably claimed set two 25-17 and set four 25-14 to force a winner-take-all set five. SWU took the opening two points, but from there NGU claimed and held on to the lead to advance to the semifinals. For the match, NGU finished with a .166 attack percentage and led in kills, service aces, blocks, and assists.

Samantha Ball put together a dominant performance, finishing with 22 kills and 17 digs as well as 2 service aces, a solo block, and an assist. Peyton Taylor also posted a double-double with 10 kills and 16 digs in addition to 2 block assists and a service ace. Anna Fiddelke recorded 9 kills, 4 block assists, and 2 digs.

NGU will face the Francis Marion Patriots tomorrow in Bristol, Tennessee in the semifinals of the Conference Carolinas Tournament.
