The North Greenville Trailblazers fell behind in set one but ultimately recovered to defeat the Erskine Flying Fleet with a final score of 3-1 in Due West, South Carolina. A competitive opening set ended with Erskine taking it 27-25, but NGU would bounce back to take sets two and three, both with a score of 25-22. Set four was NGU's best of the afternoon as they would comfortably take it with a score of 25-18. North Greenville finished the afternoon with a .295 attack percentage while leading in points, kills, blocks, assists, and digs.
Samantha Ball put together an impressive performance, posting a double-double with 19 kills and 16 digs while also providing an assist, a service ace, and a block assist.
Elise Smith recorded 18 kills, 3 digs, 2 block assists, and 2 service aces.
Madison Sherman provided 23 assists, 11 digs, and 2 service aces.
NGU will head to Bristol, Tennessee to take on the Tornado of King University on Wednesday, October 8th.
