Box Score The North Greenville Crusaders defeated the Bobcats of Georgia College and State University with a final score of 5-4 this afternoon in Milledgeville, Georgia. The Bobcats struck first early on with a run in the 1st as well as a run in the 2nd, but NGU would not only get on the board but take the lead in the 4th inning by way of an RBI double by Landon Peavy and RBI singles by Zach Cowart and Brett Blomquist. The Crusaders then added to the lead with two additional runs in the 5th including an RBI single by Bryce Roddey and a sacrifice fly by Zach Cowart. GCSU would make things interesting by scoring a run in both the 6th and 7th innings, but Dawson Taylor and Nate Roof would prevent the tying run from scoring in the late innings to preserve the win for the Crusaders. Matthew Murphy started the game on the mound and received the win.

Bryce Roddey recorded 2 hits including a double and an RBI. Kaleb Hall also posted 2 hits as well as 2 runs scored. Brett Blomquist finished his day with 2 hits, an RBI, and a walk.

NGU will return to action on Friday, April 26th against the Flying Fleet of Erskine College in Due West, South Carolina.
