Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers fell to the Francis Marion Patriots this afternoon at Hayes Gymnasium with a score of 3-0. Francis Marion put together an impressive match, finishing with an attack percentage of .290 while NGU struggled overall with a negative attack percentage of -.018 for the match. Things began with a dominating set for the Patriots as they would take the opening set 25-13. The Patriots would go to convincingly take set two as well with a score of 25-15. Set three would prove to be the most competitive of the match. Leading by two, FMU would go on a 6-0 run late in the set to run away with it, winning the set 25-18.
Anna Fiddelke finished with seven kills, three block assists, and a dig.
Samantha Ball posted six kills and nine digs.
Allison Ball provided thirteen assists and a dig.
NGU will return to action on Tuesday, October 15th against the Lees-McRae Bobcats in Banner Elk, North Carolina.
