Two NGU student-athletes were selected in this year's MLB amateur draft as Michael Rodriguez was selected as a 540th overall pick in the 18th round and Jalen Vasquez was picked as the 601st overall pick in the 20th round.

Michael Rodriguez has put together two solid seasons at North Greenville, currently posting a career earned run average of 3.05 and has walked just 20 batters while striking out 91. The redshirt junior from Odessa, Florida was named All-Conference Carolinas 1st team as well as the NCBWA All-Southeast Region 2nd team.

Jalen Vasquez had a solid 2023 season after transferring to North Greenville from the University of South Carolina, posting a .331 average including 12 doubles and 12 home runs. He was named to the All-Conference Carolinas and NCBWA All-Southeast Region 2nd team.
