Box Score Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders faced an early deficit, but stormed back in the last three innings to defeat the Hurricanes of Georgia Southwestern State University in walk off fashion with a final score of 6-5 at Ray & Bea Dillard Field. NGU faced a 4-0 deficit after two innings and would continue to be shut out until a sacrifice fly by Carter Dierdorf put the Crusaders on the board. In the eighth, a solo shot by David Lewis and an RBI by Bryce Roddey closed the deficit to one. GSW would score a run in the top of the ninth to increase their lead back to two. However, John Michael Faile would then make NCAA Division II history with a record-breaking 76th career home run, which would win the game for North Greenville in walk off fashion.
