The North Greenville Crusaders will enter the 2022 NCAA DII Baseball Championship in Cary, North Carolina as the top seed and will face the 8th-seeded Golden Rams of West Chester University in the opening round of the tournament. 

West Chester enters the tournament with a 34-13 overall record. The Golden Rams won the Atlantic Region #1 tournament with a victory against Slippery Rock University, then after dropping the opener of a best-of-three series to Seton Hill University West Chester bounced back to win 5-4 and 9-6 in extra innings to advance to the Super Regional. WCU fell in the opener of the Super Regional to East Stroudsburg University but once again fought back to take the final two games 5-3 and 8-6 to move on to Cary. The Golden Rams currently hold the #13 ranking in the NCBWA division II national poll while NGU still holds on to the #1 ranking.

The opening round of the tournament begins on Saturday, June 4th while North Greenville's matchup with West Chester is scheduled to start at 6:00 PM on Sunday, June 5th.
