Box Score 2 NGU fell twice to the Pacers of USC Aiken with final scores of 8-6 and 11-2 in Aiken, South Carolina. After falling behind early, the Crusaders would take the lead in the 2nd when
Claire Gilmore drove in two runs with a third run scoring on the play due to an error. The Pacers would tie things back up in the bottom of the inning, but NGU would take the lead right back in the 3rd when
Jenna Hewes stole home. NGU would score another run in the 5th, but
Bailey Pace, who took the mound in the 5th inning, would run into trouble in the 6th as USC Aiken would score five runs to take a three-run lead.
Brianna McRae would score a homerun in the 7th, but the Crusaders would ultimately fall short. Game two would start out as a pitchers' dual as the first three innings would go scoreless. However, USCA would break through in the 4th inning with two runs.
Kinslee Hughes would drive in a run with a double and
Brianna McRae would homer for the second time in the day, but the Pacers would run away with the game, ultimately run ruling NGU in the 6th.
