Box Score Tigerville, SC - North Greenville achieved a 3-0 victory over the Lions of Emmanuel College tonight at Hayes Gymnasium to return to a .500 record both overall and in conference play. The Crusaders dominated the first two sets as they were never in doubt. Set three went down to the wire before NGU was able to complete the comeback to win the set by two points.

Recap

• Set one proved to be a one-sided one as the Crusaders posted a strong .375 attack percentage while the Lions struggled with a -.130 percentage including eight errors. A seven point run early on gave North Greenville a commanding 10-4 lead. Emmanuel would respond with four straight points, but NGU would run away with the set for good with eight consecutive points. The Crusaders would ultimately go on to easily win the set 25-11.
• The two teams performed similarly in set two with the Crusaders in the positive and Emmanuel in the negative for attack percentage. NGU would lead from the start and did not give it up. Leading 14-9, North Greenville wrapped up the set with an 11-1 run to take set two 25-10.
• A close set three resulted in nineteen attack errors between the two teams. The Lions would take the first four points of the set and would lead for the majority of it. Trailing 16-12, NGU fought back with four straight points to tie the set up. Emmanuel responded with four straight points of their own to go back to a four point lead, but NGU would complete the comeback by ending the set on an 8-2 run to ultimately win the final set 25-23.

Individual

• Abigail Durham put together another solid performance, posting fourteen kills, four block assists, three service aces, and two digs.
• Ashlyn Conner provided 29 assists while recording six digs, three service aces, and two block assists.
• Erin Allen posted six kills, three digs, two service aces, and a block assist.
