Box Score Tigerville, SC - North Greenville took care of business in Hayes Gymnasium with a 3-0 victory over the Rams of Bluefield College. The Crusadrs posted a respectable .273 attack percentage while holding Bluefield in the negative with a -.086 percentage. Jackson Gilbert led with 8 kills.
North Greenville dominated from the start of set one to lead 12-4. After the Rams took three of the next four points, NGU would put together another run that included three straight service aces by Jake Boldog. Late in the set, the Crusaders would close things out with a 4-1 run to take the opening set 25-11.
A closer beginning to set two still resulted in a comfortable lead by NGU. Bluefield would put up a fight but would be unable to put together any sort of run, allowing the Crusaders to continue to build up their lead. North Greenville would ultimately go on to win the second set 25-14.
The Rams would get off to a fast start in set three, posting a 5-3 lead. NGU would follow that up with five straight points. Bluefield would keep the set competitive and would eventually reclaim a two point lead. However, North Greenville would score the next six points to lead by five. Like set two, NGU would end the third set with a 4-1 run to take the final set 25-20.
North Greenville will head to Phoenix, Arizona for a weekend road trip that includes three matches. The first of those three will take place on Friday, March 6th against the UC Irvine Anteaters.
