Box Score Tigerville – Women’s lacrosse cut a pair of sizeable University of Tampa deficits on Saturday but the Trojans escaped Tigerville with a 14 – 6 win.
The Trojans jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the early goings of the first period before North Greenville cut into the deficit with a goal from Jillian Cheisa that made it 4-1. Tampa tacked on one more score in the first to make it 5-1 with 17:30 left on the game clock.
North Greenville found a spark in the late minutes of the opening half with consecutive scores from Rachel Kellogg and Maegan Easler which cut the halftime deficit to just 5-3.
Tampa opened the second half with a pair of unanswered scores of their own which extended the two-point edge to four goals. The Trojans finished the second overall meeting with NGU putting up 29-shots on goal compared to 19 shots on frame for North Greenville.
North Greenville trailed 8-4 before Easler teamed up with Aly Estes for another set of back-to-back one-timers which made it 8-6. Tampa's offense proved hard to contain in the end as the visitors netted six more while keeping NGU scoreless in the final 10-minutes and change of the second half.

Megan Easler led North Greenville with two scores on the day and four shots on frame. Four other players scored for North Greenville including Hanna Hawkins.
Sydney Taylor finished the day with 15 saves.
