North Greenville's Kami Straub has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday, following a dominant stretch of performances that helped lead the Trailblazers to a pair of key victories.
Straub put together an outstanding week offensively, scoring eight goals across two wins for North Greenville. She recorded four goals in a 15-13 victory over Emmanuel before adding another four goals in a win over Southern Wesleyan.
She also impacted the game in other areas. She totaled 13 draw controls, including 11 against Emmanuel, while also adding five ground balls and five caused turnovers on the week. Her defensive presence was especially notable in the win over Southern Wesleyan, where she accounted for four caused turnovers.
NGU women's lacrosse will wrap up the regular season on Thursday, April 16th against the Lees-McRae Bobcats at Pepsi Stadium.
