Box Score Savannah, GA—North Greenville women’s lacrosse dropped a non-conference game to Savannah College of Art and Design on Saturday by a score of 14-5.
The Crusaders fall to 7-7 on the season after the loss while Savannah improved to 10-1 on the season. Hanna Hawkins led the Crusaders with two goals. Candace Petit and Emily Colson led the team with two caused turnovers each while five different players had two ground balls.
North Greenville struck first with Hawkins first goal of the game at the 24:49 mark. The Bees answered with four consecutive goals to take the lead at 4-1. Candace Petit tacked on one more goal with 42-seconds left in the first to cut the deficit to two.
The Bees opened the second half with a flurry of goals, scoring seven in a row, putting North Greenville down 11-2. Hanna Hawkins and Madison Boudreau answered for North Greenville with back to back scores at 14:31 and 11:53 to cut the lead down to seven. Jillian Cheisa would also tack on a goal for North Greenville at 9:09 but the Bees finished off the Crusaders with three in the final 11:20.
North Greenville will travel to Erskine College on April 17th at 6pm.
