Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers put up a good fight this evening in front of a capacity crowd at Hayes Gymnasium, but ultimately came up short against the strong offense of King University with a final score of 96-93. A closely-contested 1st half ended with a three-point lead for the Tornado. In the second half, NGU overcame two double-digit deficits and nearly pulled off the comeback victory, but King was able to hang onto the lead late in the game. North Greenville had the final possession of the ball down by three, but a missed three-pointer would be the final shot of the game as King would escape Tigerville with the victory. NGU shot a strong .500 for the game, but the Tornado were able to top the Trailblazers with a .507 field goal percentage and shot an impressive .524 from three-point territory. NGU did lead in second chance points, finishing with a total of twenty-five while King led in points off turnovers 21-16. With the season complete, the Trailblazers finished with an 18-11 overall record with a 12-8 record in conference play.
