The North Greenville Trailblazers fell in three sets to the Crusaders of Belmont Abbey College this afternoon in Belmont, North Carolina. BAC took a commanding lead in set one. Although NGU was able to close the deficit later on in the set, Belmont Abbey would hang on to win the opening set with a score of 25-19. North Greenville led for the majority of set two, but a late run by the Crusaders was enough to take set two with a score of 26-24. A competitive set three went down to the wire, but once again BAC would narrowly win the set to end the afternoon early with a score of 25-23. With the loss, North Greenville falls to 7-5 overall with a 4-3 record in conference play.
Logan Keothavy led in kills with ten and also provided 2 solo blocks, 2 digs, a service ace, and an assist.
Yoriano Velez Vega recorded 9 kills, 4 digs, 3 assists, and a solo block.
JT McGuire finished with 6 kills and 4 digs.
North Greenville will take on the Golden Eagles of the University of Charleston in Charleston, West Virginia on Monday, March 16th.
