Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers scored the first run of the game but otherwise were held at bay this afternoon at Ray & Bea Dillard Field in an 11-1 loss to the Belmont Abbey Crusaders. In what started out as a pitcher's dual, NGU would strike first in the 4th with a sacrifice fly by Jan Pospisil. However, that would go on to be NGU's only run of the game as Belmont Abbey would take the lead and pull away with seven runs in the 5th inning. After a scoreless 6th inning, the Crusaders would pull away further with two runs in the 7th and two additional runs in the 8th inning. Matty Brown was charged with the loss.

CJ Dean recorded a hit, a run scored, and a walk. Jan Pospisil posted NGU's only RBI of the game and also drew a walk. 

The series will conclude tomorrow with a doubleheader beginning at noon.
