Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers were able to overcome a six-run deficit in the 5th inning but ultimately fell to the Trojans of Trevecca Nazarene to drop the two-game series with a final score of 9-7 at Ray & Bea Dillard Field. Things got off to a rough start when the Trojans took the lead in the 2nd inning by scoring five runs. Down 7-1 heading to the bottom of the 4th, the Trailblazers would overcome the deficit with two runs in the 4th including an RBI triple by Mason Swinner and four runs in the 5th including RBI singles by
Kai Tullos and Swinney to tie the game at 7-7. That score would remain until the top of the 8th when a two-RBI double by Trevecca Nazarene gave the Trojans a two-run lead. The Trailblazers would come up empty in the 8th and 9th innings.
Connor Brinson was charged with the loss.
Mason Swinney continues his strong run with 3 hits, just a home run short of a cycle.
Kai Tullos also posted 3 hits as well as 2 runs and an RBI.
Wyatt Evans pitched a strong inning, allowing no runs and just 1 hits while striking out 2.
North Greenville will have a quick turnaround as they will face the Crusaders of Belmont Abbey to begin a conference series on Friday, March 13th at Ray & Bea Dillard Field.
