Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers welcomed the Bruins of Carolina University and their head coach, former North Greenville men's volleyball player Jake Boldog this evening at Hayes Gymnasium. NGU walked away with a 3-1 victory against the Bruins after taking the first two sets as well as set four. The Trailblazers throughly dominated the evening, taking set one by a wide margin with a score of 25-8 and convincingly took set two as well with a score of 25-12. Carolina put up a fight and won set three 25-21 before NGU would take control again to win set four 25-14. NGU finished with a solid .404 hitting percentage and led in all major categories including blocks 8-2.
JT McGuire led NGU with 10 kills and also posted 3 digs, a solo block, and an assist.
Ezekiel Priola finished with 9 kills, 4 service aces, 3 block assists, and 3 digs.
Aiden Eslinger recorded 8 kills without a single attack error as well as 4 block assists, 3 digs, and a service ace.
North Greenville will take on the Lees-McRae Bobcats on Friday, March 13th at 1:00 PM at Hayes Gymnasium.
