Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers walked off in extra innings for the second consecutive game, this time defeating the Hurricanes of Georgia Southwestern State University with a final score of 2-1 in thirteen innings. NGU found themselves down early as an RBI single in the 2nd inning put the Hurricanes up 1-0. The score would remain the same until the bottom of the 5th inning, when Jake Sears hit a solo home run to left field. Pitching would take over from there as the next seven innings went scoreless. North Greenville was finally able to end the night in the 13th inning when a lead off double by Thomas Powell was followed by an RBI double down the left field line by CJ Dean. Kadan Roach, who pitched the final 2.0 innings was the winning pitcher.

Jake Sears went a perfect 5-5 at the plate including a home run. Lane McGaha posted 2 hits including a double. Brady Price pitched 5.0 solid innings, allowing just 1 run on 6 hits and recording 5 strikeouts.

The series will conclude tomorrow with a doubleheader beginning at noon at Ray & Bea Dillard Field.
