Tigerville – North Greenville was left looking for its first win of the season on Tuesday after the Sailfish of Palm Beach handed the Trailblazers a 13 – 6 defat on an early day in Pepsi Stadium.
NGU defense held PBA to just one goal in the first quarter. The Second quarter would prove to be the different maker however as the Sailfish were able to create plenty of separation. PBA scored six goals in the second, going up 4 – 0 before the Trailblazers got their got their first goal from
Ava Walls.
NGU went down 10 – 1 before the offense found a bit of a spark.
Kami Straub and
Caroline Rider would score a goal each in the third quarter while
Ava Walls scored two more in the fourth along with
Mary Regan who scored one in the fourth. The Sailfish tacked on four more in the third and two more goals in the fourth to earn the non-conference win over NGU.
Ava Walls led NGU with a hat trick. Defensively
Brooklyn Brown caused three – turnovers and led the team with two ground balls. Sydney Spellman had 11 – saves in the net.
