Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers put up a solid fight early on this afternoon at Pepsi Stadium, but ultimately dropped a non-conference match to the Flames of Lee University with a final score of 16-12. NGU Took a commanding lead early, scoring five of the first six goals of the game including two by Josie Rose. Both teams would post one more goal to end the quarter with a 6-2 lead in favor of North Greenville. The two teams struggled offensively in the 2nd quarter as turnovers plagued both teams. Lee would score two of the three goals in the quarter as the Trailblazers would take a 7-4 lead into halftime. North Greenville would come out of halftime with the momentum as they would score three consecutive goals to lead by six with two of them scored by Katy Smith. However, that would remain NGU's score until the final two minutes of the game, allowing Lee to completely take over the game with twelve straight goals to lead 16-10. Kami Straub and Aubree Mayse would close things out with a goal, but the Flames would go on to take the win in Tigerville. North Greenville trailed Lee in total shots 30-24. Turnovers proved to be the main factor of the game as the Trailblazers finished with twenty turnovers while the Flames finished with twelve.

Katy Smith led NGU in goals with a total of 3. Aubree Mayse provided 10 draw controls, 2 goals, and a ground ball. Jose Rose also recorded 2 goals as well as a ground ball and a caused turnovers.

North Greenville will face the Sailfish of Palm Beach Atlantic on Tuesday, February 24th at Pepsi Stadium.
