The North Greenville Trailblazers put together an impressive performance this afternoon at Hayes Gymnasium, defeating the Panthers of Ferrum College with a score of 75-71. Ferrum narrowly led NGU at halftime with a score of 40-38. However, North Greenville quickly claimed the lead in the 2nd half and went on to outscore Ferrum by six in the half, ending the afternoon with a four point victory. NGU finished the day with a .500 field goal percentage. Second chance points became a factor as eight offensive rebounds led to eight second chance points while the Panthers recorded five offensive rebounds but were unable to score a single second chance point. The win improves NGU's overall record to 16-8 with a 10-5 record in conference play.
Carter Bobbitt put together an impressive performance, posting 26 points, 9 rebounds, 2 steals, and an assist.
Savion Brown recorded 20 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds, and a block.
Jacob Brown also neared a double-double with 11 points and 9 rebounds in addition to 4 assists and 3 steals.
North Greenville will face the Mountain Lions of Young Harris College on Monday, February 16th in Young Harris, Georgia.
