The North Greenville Trailblazers were victorious this evening in Auguta, Georgia with a 71-66 victory over the Lions of Paine College. NGU shot .414 percent from the field in the 1st half to take a 39-37 lead into halftime before adding to their lead with a .423 percentage from the field in the 2nd half to outscore the Lions 32-29 in the half. Paine was held to a .369 field goal percentage for the evening while NGU led by a point in points off turnover 13-12 and led in second chance points 7-4.
Carter Bobbitt put together a strong performance, finishing with 19 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, a block, and an assist.
Savion Brown posted 12 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 assists.
Kael Rillie recorded 9 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists.
NGU will return to action on Wednesday, January 7th to take on the Tornado of King University in Bristol, Tennessee.
