The North Greenville Trailblazers will enter the 2026 season with high expectations as they tied Francis Marion for 1st place in the 2026 Conference Carolinas Baseball Preseason Poll. Both teams received four 1st place votes as well as a total of 149 points.

In addition, NGU will begin the season ranked nationally in all three National Rankings, including 6th in the D2 Baseball National Rankings, 10th in the ABVA National Rankings, and 13th in the NCBWA National Rankings.

Individually, Matty Brown and Caleb Cox were selected as D2 Baseball Preseason All-Americans, with Matty Brown being named 1st team and Caleb Cox being named 2nd team. The duo were two of five Conference Carolinas student-athletes to be named Preseason All-American. North Greenville is the only program in the conference with more than one student-athlete to be selected.

North Greenville finished the 2025 season with a 45-15 record with a 21-9 record in conference play. The 2026 season officially begins on Friday, January 30th in the Houston Winter Invitational against the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
