The North Greenville Trailblazers began the 2026 season with a 12-3 win over the Chargers of The University of Alabama in Huntsville this afternoon in Houston, Texas. North Greenville took over the lead early and never looked back, totaling twelve runs on twelves hits. NGU jumped all over the Chargers early after trailing by a run in the top of the 1st, combining for nine runs in the first three innings including a home run by
Thomas Powell, an RBI double by
Jake Sears and RBI singles by
CJ Dean, Jan Posposil, and
Kai Tullos. After scoreless 4th and 5th innings, Pospisil would put another run on the board by way of an RBI double.
Thomas Powell added a run in the 7th inning by way of an RBI triple.
CJ Dean would put one last run on the board with a sacrifice fly.
Eli Wagner was the winning pitcher, pitching a total of 3.0 innings.
Jan Pospisil posted 2 hits including a double and 3 RBIs while also drawing a walk.
Thomas Powell recorded 2 hits including a home run and a triple, 3 runs, 2 RBIs, and a walk.
Kai Tullos finished with 3 hits, 2 RBIs, and a walk.
North Greenville will face the Mules of the University of Central Missouri tomorrow in Houston, Texas at 1:30 PM.
