Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers came out on top this evening at Hayes Gymnasium with a 3-1 victory over the Bobcats of Lees-McRae College. NGU took the first two sets, and after dropping the third set North Greenville bounced back to take set four. Set one was thoroughly controlled by NGU, who went on to take the set with a score of 25-14. The second set proved to be more competitive, but North Greenville would still control the set to win it 25-19. Lees-McRae would come out on top in set three, winning it 25-19. However, the Trailblazers bounced back to take set four with a score of 25-19. NGU finished with a .087 attack percentage and led the night in total blocks and digs. Service errors plagued the Bobcats as they would end the night with sixteen while the Trailblazers committed just one service error.
Peyton Taylor put together an impressive night, finishing with a double-double, 11 kills and 10 digs as well as 3 service aces and 2 solo blocks.
Anna Fiddelke also posted 11 kills along with 4 solo blocks and 2 block assists.
Allison Ball provided 17 assists, 15 digs, and a service ace.
NGU will face the Warriors of Southern Wesleyan University on Friday, October 3rd at Hayes Gymnasium.
