North Greenville men's soccer's Ricardo Marques has been named the Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Week, the Conference Carolinas announced earlier today. Marques put together a solid week that included a 9-save performance against Belmont Abbey, finishing with a total of 12 saves and 2 shutouts for the week.

Ricardo Marques is a graduate student from Lisboa, Portugal. Currently, Marques leads the Conference Carolinas in Goals Against, allowing less than half a goal per match (.400). He is also leading the conference in save percentage (.895).
