Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers were victorious this evening at Pepsi Stadium, shutting out the King Tornado with a final score of 2-0. The shutout is North Greenville's third consecutive. The Tornado led the night in total shots with 18, but North Greenville would make the most of their eight shots as two of NGU's three shots on goal resulted in goals.
Lucas Di Pasquale would get the Trailblazers on the board in the 23rd minute with a penalty kick goal. To close out the first half,
Enrico Onzi added to the NGU lead with an assist by
Riccardo Benini. North Greenville would turn to the defense in the second half as
Ricardo Marques was able to preserve the shutout with 7 saves in the half. With the win, NGU improves to 5-1-0 with a 2-1-0 record in conference play.
