Hannah Hill Earns USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week Honors

Tigerville – Hannah Hill's performance in the Conference Carolinas Championship has earned national recognition as the senior was named the National Athlete of the Week by the USTFCCCA. 
 
Hill finished first in the Heptathlon setting a school and conference record as well as delivering the 7th best mark in NCAA D-II in the event. In all, the senior competed in 13 - total events including the open 200, 400, javelin, long jump, 4x100 and 4x400 relays. 
 
Hill scored 45 points on her own accord for NGU helping lead North Greenville Women's Track and Field to the program's highest ever finish at the Conference Carolinas Track & Field Championships. Hill competed in the women's heptathlon, a seven-event excursion involving both track and field events. 
 
Through the seven events, Hannah Hill finished first in 400 meter dash with a time of 53.30 and javelin throw with a distance of 41.31 meters. Her time and distance in the two events are also new school records. Her 400 – meter time is a Division II provisional mark. She also turned in a pair of top performances in the 200-meter dash, finishing second with a time of 23.84 and in the long jump with a third-place finish (5.92 meters). 
 
Hill's time at the conference championships did not start and finish with her performance in the heptathlon. She also helped NGU's 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams but running a leg in each of the relays. She ran the anchor leg in the 4x400 relay and helped the Trailblazers by closing a 40 – meter gap to move from fourth to first for the moment. The 4x100 team was earned an All – Conference nod.
