Due West, S.C. – Men's Volleyball kicked off its Conference Carolinas slate of games with a 3 – 0 win over Erskine on Saturday afternoon (30 – 28, 25 – 22, 25 – 20).
North Greenville gripped the first set win with back – to – back kills from
Carter Schomock and Ezekial Priola. NGU faced set point earlier in the set but a schomock kill and consecutive errors from the Fleet evened the score at 24 – 24.
The Trailblazers led for most of the second. The Fleet mounted a small comeback in the second frame, scoring to cut NGU's lead to 23 – 21 but a kill from
Michael de la Cruz secured the second set win. NGU trailed by as many as four points in the third frame before making a move later on. The Trailblazers scored five straight points to take the lead en route to the game clinching set.
De la Cruz led North Greenville with eight kills on the night while Schomock and
Parker Gantt finished with seven kills each.
