Tigerville – It was a season opening win for the Trailblazers on Wednesday night cruising to a 23 – 3 win over Montreat.
The Blazers scored eight unanswered goals to take an early lead. Freshman
Kami Straub's first career goal was also the first goal of the season for NGU. Straub was one of four players for the Trailblazers with at least three goals. North Greenville scored 13 first half goals since the 2022 season.
The Trailblazers kept their foot on the gas pedal in the second half, extending the lead to 19 – 1 after six unanswered goals in the third period. NGU tacked on four scores in the third while the Cavaliers scored a pair.
Kylie Keen led North Greenville with six goals.
Kami Straub finished her first collegiate game with four scores.
Lauren Crane scored three goals as did
Erin Wheaton.
Caroline Rider,
Aubree Mayse, and
Ava Walls also scored their first career goals.
