Greeneville, TN – North Greenville was edged by Tusculum on Wednesday in a non – conference game, falling 17 – 13 to the Pioneers.
The Pioneers finished the first half with a four goal lead, outscoring the Trailblazers 5 – 3 in each of the first two quarters. Aval Walls led North Greenville in scoring during the first half with two goals. North Greenville scored two of their first quarter goals while the Pionners had a man – up advantage. NGU's best quarter came in the third when the Trailblazers scored four goals.
Ava Walls added two more scores to lead NGU while
Kami Straub score a pair of one – timers to cut Tusculum's lead to just three goals.
Isabella Ortiz also scored during the quarter. Straub and Ortiz both added scores in the final frame while Kyle Keen scored her first of the game.
Walls, Ortiz, and Straub all finished the day with three goals.
Kylie Keen tacked on two scores while
Katie Keller and
Lauren Crane also had a goal. Ortiz led NGU with two assists.
Aubree Mayse led the Trailblazers with seven draw controls.
Tori Smith finished with 10 saves.
