Franklin Springs, GA – North Greenville dropped its conference opener on Wednesday night to Emmanuel College, falling to the Lions 17 – 11.
The Trailblazers found themselves down by eight goals at halftime after the Lions scored 12 compared to just four scores for NGU. North Greenville scored a solo goal in the first period and added three before the halftime buzzer. NGU fell further behind in the third quarter when Emmanuel scored two in a row to open the frame.
Kayla Harris would get North Greenville on the board in the second half with her third goal of the game.
Kylie Keen followed up with her first score of the game. North Greenville's best quarter came in the final frame scoring five goals including three more from Keen.
Aubree Mayse and Kami Staub also tacked on a score.
Kylie Keen led NGU with four goals on the day while
Kayla Harris finished with two. Five other players scored a goal for NGU.
