Franklin Springs, GA – North Greenville fell to 5 – 12 in league play after Saturday's loss to Emmanuel College, a close 52 – 47 decision.
North Greenville shot 31.9 – percent for the game while the Lions shot just over 34 – percent. The Trailblazers held a slim one-point edge after the first half, edging the Lions 9 – 5 in a defensive second quarter to earn the advantage at intermission. North Greenville maintained its small lead heading in to the fourth quarter looking to lock up the league win.
The Trailblazers led by as many as seven points in the fourth frame. The Lions gained the late edge on NGU when Emmanuel went on a 10 – 0 run take a 48 – 43 lead over the visiting NGU. North Greenville was able to cut the lead to just two but were unable to get any closer as the Lions ran out the clock.
Ja'Mari Frederick led North Greenville with 16 points while
Quinn Johnston finished with 11.
Maliyiah Mason had a double-double for North Greenville with 11 – points and 10 – rebounds.
