The North Greenville Trailblazers were unable to hang on to an early lead, falling to the Wolves of Newberry College with a final score of 15-5 in Newberry, South Carolina. NGU scored the opening goal and after the Wolves responded with a goal of their own, North Greenville reclaimed the lead with the next goal to lead 2-1. However, Newberry would take over by scoring the next six goals to claim a lead that they would not give back up. NGU did close out the first half with the final two goals, but the Wolves would score eight consecutive goals throughout the third and fourth quarter. The Trailblazers ended things on a positive note by scoring the final goal of the match, but Newberry would comfortably hang on for a double-digit victory. NBY led the afternoon in shots 30-17. The two teams ended the match tied with eleven ground balls each.
Kami Straub led the Trailblazers with two goals and four draw controls. She also picked up two ground balls.
Kylie Keen scored a goal and posted five ground balls, a caused turnover, and a draw control.

North Greenville will face the Railsplitters of Lincoln Memorial University on Saturday, February 15th at Pepsi Stadium.
