North Greenville was unable to take advantage of a fast start as NGU led as much as nine but ultimately fell to the Valkyries of Converse University with a final score of 61-55 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The Trailblazers led 17-9 at the end of the 1st quarter, but the Valkyries would outscore NGU in the remaining three quarters. Converse took the lead and pulled away in the 3rd quarter, outscoring North Greenville by ten points. The Trailblazers reclaimed the lead nearly halfway into the fourth quarter, but a nine point run by Converse gave them a lead that they would not surrender. NGU closed the deficit to two in the final minute, but CON would hang on for the win. Turnovers proved to be a key statistic as thirty-one turnovers led to twenty-four points by Converse, six more than NGU's eighteen points off turnovers.
Maliyiah Mason recorded a double-double with twelve points and twelve rebounds and also provided an assist.
Amaijah Smith finished just shy of a double-double of her own with seventeen points and nine rebounds as well as five assists and two steals.
