The North Greenville Trailblazers ended their regular season in stunning fashion with a 1-0 win over the Bobcats of Lees-McRae in Banner Elk, North Carolina. In a match that was scoreless going into the final seconds of the match, a desperation free kick ended up in front of the goal for several seconds when Valerie Hernandez put a foot on it to find the back of the net, lifting the Trailblazers to a win to close out the 2025 regular season. NGU led in shots in the first half 6-2 and trailed in the second half 12-7. Both teams finished the afternoon with eight shots on goal.

Valerie Hernandez scored the game-winner, her 4th goal of the season. Aubrey Kramer posted 6 shots with 4 on goal. Angeline Montoya recorded a shutout with 8 saves.

North Greenville will enter the Conference Carolinas Tournament, and will face an opponent that is to be determined on Wednesday, November 5th. Tournament seeding as well as the game location are to be determined.
