Spartanburg, S.C. – North Greenville's 2025 season came to an end on Wednesday following a 2 – 0 loss to Converse in the first round of the Conference Carolinas Playoffs.
A goal in each half was enough for the Valkyries to extend their season while retiring the Trailblazers for 2025. Converse scored in the 15
th minute of the first half to put North Greenville in an early hole. NGU had a handful of opportunities to even it in the first half but
Aubrey Kramer's shot a few minutes after the score sailed high while the Trailblazers failed to capitalize on three corner kicks in the final few minutes.
The Valkyries tacked on their second goal in the 49
th minute to make NGU's comeback hopes more difficult. The Trailblazers fired off four shots in the second half but were unable to capitalize on the opportunities.
North Greenville finishes the season 5 – 10 – 3 overall and 5 – 5 – 3 in conference play, improving on the 2024 season.
