North Greenville Dominant in First Half; Cruise to Win Over Ferrum

Tigerville – A dominant first half helped lift North Greenville over Ferrum on Saturday, beating the Panters 27 – 0. 
 
North Greenville did all of its scoring in the first half with 10 – points in the first quarter and another 17 in the second. Three different players would score rushing touchdowns for the Trailblazers while Killian Bonner would tack on a pair of field goals to help NGU's cause. Reggion Bennett, Deshawn Tompkins, and Elijah Crocket would be credited with the rushing scores. 
 
In total, NGU racked up 289 – net rushing yards against the Panthers defense and another 102 through the air. Kimon O'Sullivan led NGU in rushing with 108 – yards on 17 carries. Bennett finished with 65 – yards. The Trailblazers finished with 418 – yards of total offense. 
 
Defensively North Greenville turned in another impressive performance holding the Panthers to just 131 – yards of total offense. They held Ferrum's rushing attack to 37 – yards. Trailblazer defenders also picked off a pair of Ferrum passes and forced a fumble on special teams. 
 
Bradley Russ-Martin led north Greenville with six tackles while RJ Glasgow had five tackles and one for a loss. Diondre Glover and Kaliber Hoey picked off a pass each for NGU, Arber Lekani recovered a fumble. 
 
The win over the Panthers ensures that North Greenville will host UNC Pembroke on November 15th in the Conference Carolinas Championship game.

The regular season finale as NGU will travel to Rome, Georgia to take on Shorter.
